Beiler Earns CHC Designation

Warfel Construction is pleased to announce that Senior Project Manager Robb Beiler has earned his Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) designation through the American Hospital Association, and in conjunction with the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). The CHC certification program provides a national standard of knowledge required for CHC professionals, and assists employers, the public, and members of health professions in assessing healthcare constructors.

Achieving the CHC designation requires passing a comprehensive exam that tests healthcare construction knowledge, terminology, and code requirements. Additionally, it demonstrates an individual’s knowledge and commitment to healthcare construction.

“We appreciate Robb’s initiative to advance his knowledge and leadership in healthcare construction by earning his CHC,” said Brett Calabretta, Vice President at Warfel Construction. “We understand the risks associated with healthcare construction, and are committed to patient safety and continued learning with our clients. Beiler lives in Ephrata with his wife Leah.

Gift Promoted to Facilities & Service Team Field Manager

Warfel Construction Company is pleased to announce that Traves Gift has been promoted to Facilities and Service Team Field Manager. In his new role, Gift will manage day-to-day operations of manpower within the Facilities and Service Team, working with the team on gaining efficiencies, streamlining processes and ensuring Clients For Life-quality workmanship.

A graduate of Eastern York High School, Gift joined Warfel in 2002 as a Laborer and graduated from the ABC Keystone Apprenticeship program in 2007. Most recently, he was promoted to Superintendent in 2014. He has worked on an extensive list of award-winning projects throughout his time with Warfel, including the $26 million Masonic Village at Elizabethtown Commandery Cottage development, which was awarded an Eagle by ABC Keystone in 2019.

“We are excited to make a long-term investment in the growth of our Facilities and Service Team, building on the outstanding people who drive success at Warfel,” said Brad Shulenberger, Director of Facility Services. “We look forward to Traves continuing to grow in his new position and his initiative to show a Clients for Life attitude in his approach to projects within the Facilities and Service Team.”

Gift lives in Hellam, PA with his wife Heather and sons Owen and Wyatt.

Cotter Promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction & Estimating

Warfel Construction Company is pleased to announce the promotion of Sean Cotter, LEED GA to Vice President of Preconstruction & Estimating. In this new role, Cotter leads the Preconstruction & Estimating teams, initiating client engagement early in the project development process and setting projects on a path for success by providing input on cost, schedule, logistics, constructability and other key influencers. Cotter will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Preconstruction & Estimating Department and ensuring a collaborative approach to leading projects through the design phase. He will also serve as a member of the company’s Executive Team.

“Sean has demonstrated his commitment to our Clients for Life mission through his work,” said Matt Hartzler, President of Warfel Construction. “He is dedicated to our core values of honesty, integrity, accountability, initiative and teamwork, and delivers upon them with our team and our Clients. We are thrilled to see Sean continue to grow and develop his career at Warfel.”

Cotter joined Warfel in 2011 as a Project Estimator. He most recently served as Director of Preconstruction & Estimating.

Cotter graduated from Millersville University with a B.S. in Psychology and Harrisburg Area Community College with a B.S. in Estimating. He is a LEED (Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design) Green Associate.

Cotter lives in Lititz, PA with his wife Kristen and daughters Mackenzie and Payton.
