Warfel Construction Company is pleased to announce that their workforce will be expanding in 2012.
Conlan Swope, LEED GA has been promoted to Project Manager. Swope has been with the firm since 2008 when he served as a college intern. Upon graduation, he joined Warfel full-time as a Project Engineer. As Project Manager, he is responsible for complete project oversight, coordination, schedule, and budget on projects ranging from $1 to $15 million dollars throughout Pennsylvania and the surrounding states. He recently completed a new Nature Center for the Black Rock Retreat in Quarryville. A resident of Lancaster, Swope is a graduate of Solanco High School and earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. He is certified as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate. Conlan serves on the board of the Solanco Midget Football Association and the New Providence Church of God Retreat Committee.
Bev Wise recently joined Warfel as Vice President and Director of Corporate Development. In this newly created position, she coordinates the company’s human resources and organizational development activities as well as acts as a liaison to the communities in which we serve. Prior to joining Warfel she was employed by Highmark as a Senior Human Resource Business Partner. She holds a B.S.degree in accounting and a Masters of Education degree from The Pennsylvania State University. She completed the Certified Public Accountant and Senior Professional Human Resources certifications. In 2001, Bev was awarded the prestigious Athena Award, which honors individuals who have achieved excellence in their profession, devoted
time and effort in their communities to improve the quality of life for others and have actively helped women realize their full leadership potential. She serves on the AAA Central Penn and The Hamilton Club of Lancaster Boards of Directors, and she chairs the Penn State University Outreach Advisory Board at University Park.
Also filling a new position is Shane Groff, BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordinator. Shane is responsible for the development and coordination of all BIM efforts for current projects as well as those in preconstruction and development. A graduate of Warwick High School, and current Lititz resident, Groff attended Drexel University and is a Autodesk Certified Revit Professional. He was previously employed by LSC Design as a CAD Manager and currently serves an adjunct faculty member at HACC teaching classes on AutoCAD and Revit Architecture.
Sean Cotter, LEED GA also recently joined Warfel as a Project Estimator. He is responsible for managing the estimating process on projects from $1 to $15 million. He is a graduate of Millersville University with a B.S. in Psychology and Harrisburg Area Community College with a B.S. in Estimating. He holds a certification as a LEED Green Associate. A resident of Lancaster City, and a US Marine, he was previously employed by H.W. Nauman & Sons Inc as the Director of Business.
