Warfel Construction Company is pleased to announce that Director of Virtual Design and Construction Rick Carter has successfully earned his Certificate of Management – Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM) designation through the Association of General Contractors of America (AGC). This certification highlights an individual’s deep knowledge and understanding of concepts related to BIM adoption, practice, and process.
“We appreciate Rick’s desire to continue to learn and lead our VDC efforts by taking the initiative to earn this certification,” said Brett Calabretta, Vice President at Warfel Construction. “We continue to find increased value in the use of Building Information Modeling, whether for coordination during preconstruction and construction, or for helping our clients and trade partners visualize a space or workflow.”
After completing AGC’s Building Information Modeling Education Program, Carter successfully passed a comprehensive exam that tests a candidate’s knowledge of BIM concepts. This certification is the first credential in the construction industry that measures the practical application of the BIM process for construction firms, according to AGC.
Carter lives in Lancaster with his wife and four daughters.
