Project Executive – Winchester, VA

We are currently looking for a Project Executive to join our team in Winchester, VA. As a Project Executive, you will oversee multiple projects, ensuring client satisfaction while leading a high-performing Project Management Team. Your role will involve regular client communication to resolve issues and maintain satisfaction, furthering our Clients for Life mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects to ensure client satisfaction and meet or exceed expectations.
  • Maintain executive-level contact with the client from preconstruction through the entire construction process. Be available to address client concerns as they arise.
  • Set team revenue and margin targets aligned with Warfel’s strategic goals, ensuring the team is properly sized and performing at a high level.
  • Collaborate with the Client Experience team to identify new client relationships and project opportunities.
  • Lead interviews and presentations with strong planning and response skills for RFPs (requests for proposals) and RFQs (requests for qualifications).
  • Work with Preconstruction teams to develop logistics plans, conceptual schedules, and constructability reviews at various stages of the project design process.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and achieve revenue and margin goals.
  • Lead multiple project teams, fostering strong internal relationships and managing personnel conflicts effectively.
  • Visit job sites as necessary to review progress, quality control, and job site appearance and ensure alignment with the CPM schedule. Work with field supervisors to address inconsistencies and implement recovery plans.
  • Address quality control issues proactively, ensuring the team develops recovery plans for significant issues.
  • Regularly review project communication, schedule progression, change management, and team dynamics to prevent client relationship challenges.
  • Support project turnover and procurement, ensuring timely procurement of critical trades and early packages to support project success.
  • Discuss major project issues with the Operations staff to ensure Warfel’s best interests are represented.
  • Ensure timely completion of punch lists and any outstanding project items before client turnover.
  • Attend Owner/Architect meetings as needed based on the project or client relationship.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of a four-year degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience leading project teams and managing projects similar to those built by Warfel Construction Company.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and the construction process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively with clients, design teams, and construction teams.
  • This position may require occasional job-site visits, with hours varying based on project schedules.
