Overview of Fitzgerald Performing Arts
The Fitzgerald Performing Arts and Athletic Center project at Holy Child School at Rosemont in Rosemont, Pennsylvania supported the school’s broader campus expansion efforts beginning in 2017. The project contributed to plans intended to nearly double the overall campus footprint. Demolition, expansion, and site development activities progressed across multiple areas of the campus throughout the construction effort. The work also incorporated new gathering, performance, and athletic areas connected to the existing campus environment while supporting long-term campus development efforts across the growing school property.
Campus Expansion and Site Development
For Fitzgerald Performing Arts, the expansion began with demolishing five adjacent properties acquired by Holy Child School. This process prepared the site for new construction and broader campus expansion efforts throughout the project area. At the same time, crews coordinated demolition and site development activities while maintaining continuity between existing and new campus spaces. The project also integrated new construction areas within the surrounding campus environment while supporting the school’s long-term expansion plans and evolving campus layout throughout the site.
Fitzgerald Performing Arts and Gathering Spaces
The Fitzgerald Performing Arts project included a multi-purpose facility expansion connected to the existing O’Neil Gymnasium. The expansion created a more formal environment for gatherings, events, and plays throughout the campus. In turn, the updated facility incorporated flexible spaces intended to support multiple campus functions and activities. The updated facility created flexible areas intended to accommodate performances, gatherings, and campus events throughout the school year.
Athletic Facilities and Project Completion
The Warfel project team sequenced demolition, expansion, and construction activities throughout the campus development effort. From the outset, crews coordinated work across multiple areas of the campus while maintaining alignment between expansion activities and existing facilities. The project also incorporated a new turf field within the broader campus development effort. Together, the completed expansion and site improvements contribute to Holy Child School’s long-term campus growth and evolving educational environment while supporting future campus activities, events, and gathering spaces.
