Meeting Growing Community Needs
The Greenwood Primary Care medical building was developed on a greenfield site outside Winchester, Virginia, to support expanding healthcare needs. The facility reflects Valley Health’s commitment to accessible, patient-centered care while providing a modern environment that supports both clinical services and daily operations. As a result, the building maintains a welcoming atmosphere for patients and staff and supports a clear, organized experience from arrival through care.
Primary Care Medical Building Design and Function
This facility includes 18 exam rooms and two treatment rooms to support primary care services. It also integrates outpatient laboratory space, allowing patients to access multiple services in one location. As a result, care delivery becomes more efficient and coordinated for both providers and patients. Additional spaces include a community room, staff offices, and a break room with lockers, which support both patient engagement and staff needs. Administrative areas are also incorporated, ensuring smooth daily operations across the building.
Coordination and Project Delivery
Warfel partnered with Valley Health to deliver this facility, along with a related project in Ranson, West Virginia. Because both locations were developed in tandem, coordination remained a key part of the process. Careful planning helped maintain alignment between teams while supporting consistent outcomes across both sites. As a result, the project moved forward with a clear focus on efficiency and communication. This approach helped support consistency in both delivery and overall project expectations.
Primary Care Medical Building for Community Access
The completed primary care medical building strengthens healthcare access for the surrounding community. Its layout supports a range of services within a single, easy-to-navigate environment. As a result, patients benefit from a more streamlined experience when receiving care. The facility also reflects a thoughtful approach to growth, aligning with Valley Health’s long-term goals for the region. It supports both immediate care needs and future service expansion within the community.
