The Lancaster General Health Neuroscience Institute was as short duration project (3 months) completed by Warfel’s Service Group. The tight schedule required significant coordination from our team to assure all project goals would be met. The Service Group coordinated requests from both Lancaster General Health and the doctors and other health professionals who occupy the practice. Additionally, our team needed to secure approval from the Department of Health before the client could occupy the space, which needed to be scheduled far in advance of the project completion.
Due to the unique needs of the Neuroscience Institute, our coordinated for special equipment in the practice, including a specialty curved glass wall in the waiting area, as well as a ZeroG Gait and Balance System, which provides dynamic support as patients practice safe standing and walking without the fear of falling.
To maintain the budget for the project, our Estimating and Preconstruction teams collaborated with the owner through a value engineering exercise to assure they received the best value for their dollar.
