Overview of the New Administration Building
The New Administration Building at Leisure World of Maryland created a modern two-floor facility in Silver Spring, Maryland. Designed with functionality and comfort in mind, the building includes vendor spaces, staff offices, and meeting rooms. Those rooms serve both staff and residents, giving the community places for daily coordination, shared use, and connection. Construction began in March 2023, with the main phase completed in August 2024. During one of the last stages, crews demolished the previous administration building after nearly 60 years of service.

Inside the new facility, the program balances practical work areas with spaces meant for community use and interaction. Vendor areas create room for outside services connected to the campus, while staff offices support daily operations. Meeting rooms offer flexible space for residents and staff without making the building feel overly formal. Together, these areas give the state-of-the-art facility a useful rhythm for work, conversation, and everyday needs.
Construction Timeline and Campus Transition

As a result, the surrounding infrastructure feels more welcoming and easier to navigate.
