Meeting Growing Community Needs

The Ranson Primary Care & Lab medical office building brings together primary care and diagnostic services within a coordinated setting in Ranson, West Virginia. Developed on a greenfield site, the facility aligns with Valley Health’s focus on delivering accessible, patient-centered care while supporting efficient daily operations. Because of this, the space is organized to support both clinical workflows and a clear, comfortable experience for patients and staff. The layout also supports intuitive movement throughout the building, helping reduce confusion and improve overall efficiency.

Medical Office Building Design and Services

This medical office building includes 16 exam rooms and three treatment rooms to support primary care services. It also features an X-ray suite and a clean room, which allow for expanded diagnostic and treatment capabilities. As a result, patients can access both primary care and outpatient laboratory services in one location. The facility also includes a community room, staff offices, and a break room with lockers, which support both patient engagement and staff operations. Administrative spaces are integrated throughout to maintain efficient workflows and support daily coordination across teams.

Coordinated Medical Office Building Delivery

Warfel partnered with Valley Health to deliver this facility alongside a related project in Winchester, Virginia. Because both locations were developed in tandem, coordination remained a central part of the process. Careful planning helped maintain alignment between teams while supporting consistent outcomes across both sites. As a result, the project progressed with a clear focus on communication and efficient delivery. This approach also helped streamline decision-making and maintain consistency across both project locations.

Supporting Long-Term Community Needs

The completed medical office building strengthens access to healthcare services within the surrounding community. Its layout supports a range of services within a single, easy-to-navigate environment. Because of this, patients benefit from a more streamlined care experience when receiving treatment. The inclusion of shell space allows for future expansion, supporting Valley Health’s long-term goals as community needs evolve. This flexibility ensures the facility can adapt over time while continuing to support both providers and patients.
