Warfel Construction Breaks Ground on Westminster-Canterbury Villas

On May 20, Warfel Construction Company broke ground on Shenandoah Valley Westminster-Canterbury’s hybrid home villas. This 22-acre development consists of 97 independent living units spread across ten villas, complete with under-building parking and common areas for residents to enjoy.

The groundbreaking at SVWC marks Warfel’s first project under construction in Virginia, located a few minutes away from the firm’s new office in Winchester.

Warfel will be partnering with SFCS, HG Design Studio, and Greenway Engineering on this project.

Construction is scheduled to reach completion in September 2023.

Warfel Breaks Ground on New Residential and Healthcare Facility

East Petersburg, PA – On August 1, Warfel Construction Company broke ground on a new residential and healthcare facility for the Sisters of Divine Providence in Allison Park, PA. This 71,000-sf three-story residential building includes 90 additional rooms, some individual and others apartment style, and will have community and support space on each wing. Several site improvements will be made as well, ranging from outdoor dining terraces to walkways to site lighting.

With almost two months underway since the project began, a significant amount of progress has been made on site, specifically with site demolition, tree clearing, removal of existing structures, and the start of bulk earthwork activities in preparation for the new building foundations to begin.

Warfel is partnering with Derck & Edson Architects, Providence Engineering Corporation, Moore Engineering, and Clark Food Service Equipment for this project.

The project began in mid-June 2021 and is set to wrap up in August/September of 2022.

Warfel Breaks Ground on Foxdale Village Bird Sanctuary

On July 21, Warfel Construction Company broke ground on the Foxdale Village Bird Sanctuary in State College, PA. This multiphase project encompasses nearly 40,000 square feet and includes the construction of a bird sanctuary, water feature, and outdoor pollinator garden for residents to enjoy. In addition, a new maintenance building will be constructed to service the new garden and sanctuary.

Warfel Breaks Ground on Friends House Expansion

Warfel Construction Company recently broke ground on the $9.5 million Friends House expansion and renovation project in Sandy Spring, Maryland. Encompassing nearly 18,000 square feet, the project includes renovations to the existing Commons building, which will feature a new kitchen, dining area, bistro and administrative offices. Site work and infrastructure for the new addition to the campus are also included in the scope of the project.
